What is the Select First Build Time Guarantee?

It’s a formal guarantee on your build time from the completion of your slab to Practical Completion. If we go past it, you’re paid $600 a week, every fortnight, with no cap, until you’re in.

It kicks in automatically. No forms to chase, no negotiating what you’re owed.

How it works

Why do home builds run late, and what does it cost you?

Perth families have spent years watching build timelines blow out. Every extra week is another week of rent while you’re also paying a loan. Life plans sit on hold. And the original date was usually only ever an estimate, so nobody was on the hook for it.

An estimate can’t be late. A guarantee can. We built ours because a date only means something when missing it costs the builder.

How does the Build Time Guarantee work?

Book your Home Ready Studio Experience. Your design and selections come together in one guided day, and your build time guarantee is confirmed as part of it.

Your Concierge confirms your build time guarantee. A committed timeframe for your single or double storey home, not a rough range.

It goes in your contract. The guarantee is contractual. It’s not a line in a brochure.

If we miss the date, you’re paid. $600 a week, every fortnight, into your account, until you’re in.

Build Time FAQs

What is the Select First Build Time Guarantee?

It’s a promise that your home will be built within an agreed timeframe. If we run over, we pay you $600 a week, every fortnight, until your home reaches Practical Completion.

How long is the Build Time Guarantee period?

It’s 9 months for single-storey homes and 12 months for double-storey homes. Both start from the completion of your slab pour to Practical Completion.

How much do I get paid if my build runs late?

You’re paid $600 for every week we run over. Payments are made fortnightly into your bank account.

Is there a cap on the Build Time Guarantee payment?

No. There’s no cap on the amount and no cap on how long the payments run.

When does my build time start?

It starts when your slab is completed on-site and runs through to Practical Completion.

Does the guarantee apply to both single-storey and double-storey homes?

Yes. It’s standard on every Select First build. Single-storey homes have a 9 month guarantee period and double-storey homes have 12 months.

Is the payment a credit on my final account?

No. It’s paid directly to you and kept separate from your contract price.

When is my build timeframe locked in?

When you sign your contract, once you have completed your Home Ready Experience.

Is the Build Time Guarantee included on every home?

Yes. It’s standard on every Select First build, not a time-limited promotion.
